Training: HASA & Public Benefits for People Living with HIV/AIDS

The Legal Aid Society's HIV/AIDS Representation Project will provide information on public benefits and resources available to NYC residents living with HIV/AIDS with a focus on benefits available through HRA's HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA). The training will cover:

  • Basic eligibility for HASA, including expanded enrollment based on immigration status

  • HASA's new enrollment process

  • HASA benefits overview

  • HASA budgeting

  • HASA supportive housing rules and resources

  • Eviction related resources

  • Other benefits and resources for people living with HIV

The intended audience for this training is: Case/Care Manager or Coordinators, Community Health Worker/Patient Navigators, Social Worker, Housing Specialist, Program Coordinators/Managers, Program Directors, and Attorneys. Other roles are of course welcome to attend!
