Training: Medicare Preventive Services

Preventive services can find health problems early, when treatment works best. Preventive services include exams, shots, lab tests, and screenings. They also include programs for health monitoring, and counseling and education to help you take care of your own health. Preventive Services Training will cover and/or explain:

  • What disease prevention is and why it’s important

  • Which preventive services Medicare covers and how often

  • Who can get services

  • What you pay – you pay nothing for many services

The intended audience for this training is: Case/Care Managers or Coordinators, Community Health Workers/Patient Navigators, Social Worker, Clinicians - RN, MD, etc., Housing Specialist, Academics/Researchers, Elected Officials/Representatives, Program Coordinators/Managers, Program Directors, Executives, and Attorneys. Other roles are of course welcome to attend!
