Training: Immigration as a Social Determinant of Health

Please join the Health & Housing Consortium's virtual training titled "Immigration as a Social Determinant of Health" on Tuesday, January 23rd from 1-2:30pm led by Senior Staff Attorney Adrienne Neff of NYLAG's LegalHealth division. The training will provide the following information:

  • Provide an understanding of the types of immigration statuses your patients and their relatives may have.

  • Give a brief overview of immigrant eligibility for benefits, including Medicaid eligibility.

  • Provide tools you can use to help immigrant patients and their families.

  • Discuss recent arrivals, including available resources and legal referral information

The intended audience for this training is: Case/Care Manager or Coordinators, Community Health Worker/Patient Navigators, Social Worker, Clinicians - RN, MD, etc., Housing Specialist, and Program Coordinators/Managers. Other roles are of course welcome to attend!
