CAREforce NYC is an on-demand, virtual training program for frontline and direct service workers in New York’s healthcare, housing, and social services sectors. It is designed to strengthen the knowledge, enhance the skills, and empower professionals working at the intersection of health and housing in New York City. Our goals are to improve service delivery and workforce retention by:
Taking the guesswork out of training: We equip staff with the foundational knowledge needed to support New Yorkers facing housing instability and health disparities. By instilling shared language and understanding across roles and organizations, we can improve care quality.
Covering what HR can’t: While your organization handles human resources and compliance, CAREforce NYC provides the practical knowledge and tools staff need but employers don’t have the capacity to offer. This encourages employee retention, job satisfaction, and client outcomes.
Removing administrative hurdles: Our all-access training program gives staff unlimited trainings without the need for individual approvals or payments, reducing barriers and streamlining participation.
Supporting professional growth: Specialized learning tracks offer opportunities for career progression and development.
The program is currently being rolled out to the Consortium’s member organization for a period of beta-testing. If you would like to discuss participation for your organization, please email Tess Sommer at tsommer@hhconsortium.org.
