Training: Psychosocial Assessment

Register

Psychosocial assessments are a core tool across social services and behavioral health settings. This training provides staff with a clear, practical framework for developing psychosocials that are accurate, person-centered, and clinically useful. Participants will learn what belongs in each section of a psychosocial, how to gather information through both scheduled assessments and everyday engagement, and how to document objectively without bias. The session includes live examples, brief analysis exercises, and opportunities to practice identifying gaps, rewriting problematic language, and developing neutral follow-up questions. By the end of the training, participants will feel more confident producing psychosocials that support continuity of care, honor client autonomy, and strengthen interdisciplinary communication. This session is also highly relevant for staff who review psychosocials or rely on them when receiving clients from other programs.
